Did You Miss the Powerful and Inspiring Collyde Summit 2013?

Here’s a glimpse of what we experienced when over 400 passionate believers gathered in our area…

Though the clouds were dark and the rain poured down, the 2013 Collyde Summit was bright with the promise and hope of believing that God is good, He’s on our side, and He never leaves us or forsakes, no matter what.

Together, Circles Of Faith Managing Editor Kimberly Amici and I attended the 2-day summit, Only Believe. We were excited that this was happening within an hour of our homes and did not want to miss it.

Over 400 people gathered from the New Jersey-New York-Connecticut-Pennsylvania area for a dynamic, inspiring, and empowering collection of labs, keynotes, and worship from pastors, authors, leaders, and artists from across the country.

We were inspired, challenged, and strengthened through powerful messages from a host of speakers, including the keynotes:

* Pete Wilson challenged us with, “What do you do if you’re absolutely confident that God is with you?” using Joseph as our example. Does the truth that God never leaves or forsakes make a difference? That no matter what is happening, no matter how far away God seems, He is with us?

* Margaret Feinberg encouraged us to live in “Divine Expectation,” believing that Jesus wants to meet us today…right in the middle of “it” all. Her message prompted us to be “alert for God to come crashing into our lives and change us forever.”

* Bonnie Gay asked us “What are you willing to do to touch Jesus?” and encouraged us to risk believing that what God said is says in His Word is true.

* David Ireland lit a fire in his impassioned message calling us to be kneeling warriors. Just as David was a worshipper and a warrior, we too can engage our feelings AND our faith.

The worship was awesome and authentic.

Jason Yost inspired us with How He Loves Us. And Aaron Keyes drew us in with his heart for corporate worship. On Friday night, there was a worship concert with Phil Wickham.

There are so many things vying for our time, but both Kimberly and I agree, this was time well spent. We left Collyde feeling refreshed, revived, and renewed.

Mark your calendar for Collyde Summit 2014, scheduled for September 19th and 20th of next year. The theme will be Overcome, inspired by John 16:33.

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Also take a look at Collyde.com. It is a project-based platform that enables churches and organizations
to recruit volunteers, raise funds and
mobilize mission trips for Christ-centered causes and projects.

You will be hearing more over the next few weeks about the wonderful speakers, ministries, and resources we learned about at Collyde.
