Praying God's Will For My Son by Lee Roberts
Grounded in total Scripture, Praying God's Will for my Son has become my daily go-to when praying over my sons! (I have three). From receiving God's love to overcoming fears, this books guides me to Gospel-Centered truth and verses to claim over my boys. There are also other versions of this book for praying over husbands, daughters and marriage. I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Bread and Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around the Table with Recipes by Shauna Niequist
In "Bread and Wine," Shauna Niequist puts into words why I love gathering with my people around the table. We've mourned and celebrated in the same meal time and time again. I love reading Shauna's stories, and hearing about new recipes while being encouraged to continue fostering community in my own life,

David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladlwell
In his newest book, Malcolm Gladwell uses the famous story of David and Goliath to point out some essential truths about being the underdog or a misfit. Instead of viewing our weaknesses and struggles as setbacks, we should see them as advantages. In addition, what seem to be advantages in others (like Goliath's stature and strength) could actually be weaknesses (because it made him slow). I've only just begun to read this book, but in conjunction with Quiet, which I'm almost finished with and suggested last month, it is reframing the way I think about others and to value who God created me to be. My introversion, which is viewed as a disadvantage in our society that values the outgoing and famous, could actually be a strength! I recommend this for anyone who's dealing with an apparent setback because that setback could actually be the catalyst to launch you to new heights.

The Best Yes by Lysa TerKeurst
Lisa begins each chapter with a personal story and follows it up with a lesson that supports the idea that we have three choices - we can say yes, we can say no, or we can "check the third box" which is "the best yes". She reminds us that "we must not confuse the command to love with the disease to please" and even more importantly, "the decisions you make determine the schedule you keep. The schedule you keep determines the life you live. And how you live your life determines how you spend your soul." As a person who often suffers from the disease to please, I'm loving this wonderful, Biblically-based, wisdom-infused, practical book on how to examine choices on a variety of levels and ultimately respond in a healthy way, leaving myself space to take on "the best yes."
SATIN PELFREY
Hands Free Mama by Rachel Macy Stafford
This book is AMAZING. I'm at a point in my life where I just finished reading Bonnie Gray's Book "Finding Spiritual Whitespace" so am working at putting the practice of REST into action. Learning to be "all in" at whatever I'm doing, rather than living haphazardly at many things. This book is helping guide me through ways to be "all in" with my family, as a wife & step mama, as well as a business owner. I'm on chapter two and LOVING it. It's an eye opener, a heart breaker (in the good, God way) and a challenge maker. Every Mama needs to read this!! :)
