At our first live event back in January, Elise shared her story of leaning into God in the midst of the unimaginable and the journey paved with miracles that followed as a result. What we heard from women who attended the event was, “More stories please…” So, throughout the month of February we shared personal FAITH stories from our team members and contributors here on the site.
On Thursday, April 16, Circles of Faith again gathered our local community for a Women of Influence Girls Night Out. It was a wonderful evening that included worship, connecting with friends old and new, and you guessed it... we shared more stories. For those of you who missed the event, here is an encore presentation of the words and images that blessed our hearts and reminded us that everyone has a story...and every story matters. Based on the response to our gathering, it was clear that women left inspired, enlightened, even healed.
As a young wife and mother, Elizabeth found herself planning her child's funeral. There were no answers, no reasons that could comfort her mama heart. The only thing she could do was turn and fix her eyes on Jesus. Thankfully, community rallied around Elizabeth and her family and even in the midst of incredible grief, God's peace comforted her. She became totally dependent on Him for daily breathing and through it all learned that God's promises are true. He never leaves us or forsakes us, in fact He draws near to the brokenhearted.
